COLLEGIATE ALCOHOL AWARENESS WEEK
Students and Staff at Utah State University Help With Nation Problem
LOGAN, Utah - Every year students across the nation partake in the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Many of those students under-aged and what some would call under-responsible. Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week is a national event recognized by numerous colleges. Utah State University will be participating from October 24-28.
"The Health and Wellness Center (HWC) hopes to make students aware of the consequences of alcohol misuse including drunk driving, alcohol poisoning, and other alcohol related misfortunes," said HWC employee Erika Rasmussen.
The center plans to launch the "Green Bean Campaign", designed to encourage students to help friends regulate alcohol use. The campaign associates over consumption of green beans to alcohol abuse. The HWC hopes students will help their peers to drink responsibly at all times and places.
